Industrial Attachment

At SHATEC, Industrial Attachment is a vital component of our students’ training. Students from all Diploma programmes must undertake a compulsory 6 month attachment during which they will apply their skills and knowledge learned in an actual industrial setting. Through Industrial Attachment, our students get real-world experiences that progressively prepare them to be work-ready by the end of their attachments. Industrial Attachment is also regarded as the process to mould and develop the future talents of the hospitality industry.

As the training arm of Singapore Hotel Association (SHA), SHATEC students are with over 150 SHA registered establishments for their Industrial Attachment. SHA-registered establishments are also regularly invited for engagements including industrial visits, career fairs, demonstrations and talks.

Non-SHA registered establishments who are interested to partner SHATEC for industrial attachment opportunities may find out more details on registering with SHA at www.sha.org.sg. For new training partners, an onsite audit will be conducted by SHATEC Faculty to ensure that job requirements are able to match the learning needs of our trainees.
