Overview
SHATEC Institutes Pte Ltd (UEN: 198301550C) is an appointed CET Centre by SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) for courses supported by SkillsFuture Credits (SFC) and/or SkillsFuture Funding. The WSQ Certificate in Food Services (Pastry and Baking) is a standalone qualification offered on part-time basis.

Successful Interview
(Interview may be waived for applicants who has successfully completed any preceding WSQ Certificate level(s) or prior work experience in any field.)
International applicant must have a valid work pass through the entire course.

A pass in any preceding WSQ Certificate level(s) will also be recognised as fulfilment of English proficiency requirements.
OR
Able to speak, listen, read and write English at a proficiency level not lower than the Employability Skills WSQ Level 4 Workplace Literacy (WPL).

Programme Competencies
- Follow food safety and hygiene procedures and policies, maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of premises
- Demonstrate understanding of the tools and equipment, ingredients and techniques involved in the baking process of bread products
- Demonstrate understanding of the tools and equipment, ingredients and techniques involved in the baking process of pastries
- Receive, check, prepare, pack and deliver stocks with proper documentation
- Follow guidelines to provide positive customer service to a diverse range of customers
- Manage orders from customers and serve meals according to service standard operating procedures of the organisation
Certification
Students who successfully complete the programme will be awarded a
Certificate in Food Services (Pastry and Baking) by SkillsFuture Singapore.
